Ford 2.7 v6 Turbo
Anyone towing with the new 2.7 V6 EcoBoost. Salesman at ford dealer said the 2.7 is as good as my 3.5 V6 . I have a 30 ft. #7000 wet TT

Personally, I would stick with the 3.5 EB for that size trailer. The 2.7 is a beast though. It probably would work if your using it for weekend warrior camping trips. Plus I read something a few weeks ago that really hit home. It is not necessarily the engine that limits you, it's the fact that a 1/2 ton is a half ton. Suspension, breaks, chassis... I personally tow a 4800 lbs dry 26 foot travel trailer with a 2014 Ford 150 Stx crew cab 5.0 v8 and wish I had an F250. The wife put the kibosh on that idea real quick lol. I just have to be very careful with what I pack and how I pack it. Plus my wd hitch makes me feel much better when going down the road. just my two cents.
