I had a 7.3 in an '02 E350 extended van, boy that sucker was noisy ,it hated the cold and loved to blow oil lines of the turbo causing a $1,000.00 dollar repair and tow charges each time (twice), then the water pump grenaded took out bunch of other stuff with it and almost took out the radiator and cost another $2,000.00 in repairs, bunch of other misc repairs, final straw was smoke rolling out from the dash got rid of it and bought 2013 f250 with 6.2, simply an awesome engine & trans combo, great power towing the fiver on highways & hills, only time it gets a little annoying & revs a lot is when climbing steep hills on slow speed secondary roads. Power wise the 7.3 never actually accelerated, instead it sort of accumulated speed regardless of what load and trailer it had on, whereas the 6.2 feels eager, unloaded it takes of like a rocket and sounds like a drag racer, & is a blast to drive. When loaded it has more power in the higher revs to get going but after that its a nice easy ride with plenty of power for our fiver
