Ya know, they make trucks as well for folks who complain about too much power, towing capacity and payload.....
LOL...I'm certain the perpetual negativity from RVnet towards the new Super Duty's is the Ram Mafia. So yes I agree sales won't be affected. :W- Me_AgainExplorer III

"20 MPG pulling 20,000 lbs"
That right there is "Fantasy Island".
So was 1000ft lbs of torque! And we’ve got that!
1,000# tq was nothing on the modified 5.9 CUMMINS. Plain n simple 20mpg ain't gonna happen.
Right but not from the factory. Back then a lot of people said they couldn't see it putting out more than 600-700.
Anything is possible if you try hard enough! - ShinerBockExplorerPsshhh! I can get better than 20 mpg pulling 20k..................................................................................................................................................................downhill

Personally, I'd be happy with 800 ft pds TQ, 300 HP, a reliable transmission and 20 MPG pulling 20,000 lbs.
20mpg? Ooookay buddy...
I mean we all would be, but it would have to be on another planet or some liberal use of unobtanium. - 4x4ordExplorer III

These are the "good ole days" of trucks.
I wonder how RAM can compete in the HP arena. They are quite a bit behind now. Despite what some who constantly beat the RAM drum think, they need to update their transmission as well. 10 gears > 6.
Sure did nothing to help the GM on the run against the RAM recently. I have never wished I had more gears in my RAM pulling a combined 33-35k over the West Coast Mountains. Gassers may benefit with more gears.
The Cummins has a fairly flat power curve so with 1000 lbft of torque at 1800 rpm and 400 hp at 2800 rpm the power output goes from 343 to 400 hp over the engine's operating range. With a 6 speed transmission the Ram will likely run in the range of 370 to 400 HP. The 2020 Powerstroke is claimed to be able to make from 360 to 475 HP over the engine's full rpm range and with a 10 speed transmission should be capable of running in the range of 440 to 475 hp at any speed. - spud1957Explorer

What is the spec of the brakes?
What about the brakes? There isn't a tow vehicle on the road with brakes engineered to stop itself AND the trailer. NONE!
As stated in every Ford truck owners manual.
Important: The towing vehicle’s braking system is rated for operation at GVWR, not at GCWR.
Pretty self explanatory.
