Because one has to be a total moron to take a new truck serious offroading given what they cost. I've known more than one idiot who has done so one time in the woods here, then cried like a stuck pig when he found all the scratches in the clearcoat were not able to be buffed out.
I guess I am a total moron because I took my $65k MSRP truck off roading at the farm and at the deer lease within the first month I got it. My truck was bought to be a tool, not to look being pretty and clean in my driveway. There are no roads to where I need to set my hog traps and sometimes you just gotta make your own road through the brush or through a creek bed to get them where to need them. I don't cry about scratches(we can them Texas pin stripping) either. I generally find a new scratch when I wash the truck every three months or so.
