I don't think they are worried about the "ambulance companies", they are afraid of the patient in the back of the unit! If the ambulance breaks down and something happens to the patient Ford will be open to one heck of a large civil suit.
The thing I love, is the fact that Ford thinks it is OK to tell their loyal customers that they can cool their heels on the side of the road. Got to love those Blue Aid drinking fan boys!
The only one of my Chrysler products that had to be towed was my 2002 Ram. Do to a blown radiator hose at under 3000 miles. Repaired and towed back to my house the same day. Never ever got that kind of service form any of the Toledo Metro area Ford dealers...no once!
