This one's got me thinking. I know, that is dangerous.
But if one were to use a little of Spock's logic here, then this suggests to me the recall is based upon very few occurrences.
Otherwise there would or should be a recall for all owners.
And, since it does appear to be a small number, the recall was issued for ambulance only, as we all must admit anytime an ambulance is needed then an emergency situation does exist.
And for the emergency situation, Ford is covering its liability.
The rest of us, take our chance with warranty and observing traffic driving by.
