No issues at all with my 2004. The V-10 is a great engine, to say the least. The spark plug issue, as someone else has already mentioned, was remedied during the 2002 model year. There were four threads in the heads for the spark plugs. The newer (2002+) heads have six or seven threads. The problem of spitting plugs was mostly traced to improper torque specs. when new plugs were installed. Mine is a Super Cab short bed 4x4, and unloaded I can get as high as 16 mpg on the highway with a light foot, but usually get 15 when running at a steady 70-75 mph. Tons of power, and never any breakdowns with mine. I could not be happier. Buddylam, if you get a Super Duty, I hope you will still hang on to your '79 truck as well.
