I've had 6 I think,Triton motor trucks, company work trucks. Lots of 80-90mph long distance commutes and plenty of beating them and towing. Probably 400k+ mi. For the most part, they were trouble free. An 05 lost a couple injectors early, weird deal then no issues. The 08 was a lemon. Engine was always good but rest of truck must've been built on a Friday.
Not a Ford guy but that truck will serve you well for a long time.
Yes, the 2009 has a 5 speed transmission.
