I don't know if there's been any changes but I posted the following in February on another topic:
My son is the head Ford diesel tech at his dealership. Talked to him last night and asked about his experience with the 6.7. They have not had a single injection pump or turbo replacement. They have had a "few" EGR problems with service vehicles that had many hours of idle time. They did have an early one with a cam/valve problem. Ford replaced that engine with a new one and had it sent back for autopsy. Mine only has 12K towing a 16K fiver for over 10K but hasn't seen the inside of a dealership but for one oil change when I was on the road.
Since then I have just over 20K on my 6.7 with 17.5K of that towing with no problems.
In addition like I mentioned earlier my cousin is a long time Ford diesel tech starting in '93. The dealership he works at sells Ford, Chrysler, Jeep, RAM. He basically now works full time on RAM cummins trucks simply because the repair work in the Ford shop has dropped significantly since the 6.7 PSD has been introduced. In addition this dealer sells ~ 4 Power Strokes to 1 Cummins yet there's more techs working in the Chrysler shop.
His experience on warranty repairs between Ford and RAM is that he never had a problem with Ford denying warranty and their process is fairly simple, and with Chrysler there's more red tape he has to go thru to get approval. One thing common is both manufactures are frugal with the time they pay for a particular warranty repair.- marspecExplorerI don't know if there's been any changes but I posted the following in February on another topic:

I liked the Ford well enough, but Ricatic's experience (and others) weighed heavily in my decision to switch. I like the Ram but there are things I miss about the Ford.
- wvcampersExplorerTo answer the OP's question. My 2011 Ford 6.7 has 43,000 miles on it and has been flawless so far. It has towed a 13,000lb fiver up and down the West Virginia mountains 11,000 of those miles. I would say that this is one of the toughest places to tow a camper. I average 10 to 11 mpg towing and 17-19 solo. It is a F350 CC 4x4 SRW SB.

Sure, I guess those photos a few pages back are a hidden agenda too, right? True lies? Does Ric have to post up his dead HPFP pictures also?
Ford made the bed, let them sleep in it.
So please, do tell of your disdain for Ford from your personal experience? Please also inform us of what qualifications make you an expert for the analysis you have been trying so hard to be an expert at? I would honestly like to know.
If I was Ric I would have the exact same attitude. But one thing this forum is very good at is losing perspective. If you are new here and doing research you will probably leave more confused then when they began. While fun for those of us more seasoned on what is really going on and just partaking in some brand biased "facts" we really do a disservice to those doing serious research. - Turtle_n_PeepsExplorer
Case in point...you have an hidden agenda along with a lot of others who have posted in the thread. Ricatic however has a well known issue with Ford along with an agenda about it but he has been honest of why his agenda.
LOL, what's my agenda? LOL
People like you try to insinuate that people don't like this engine because they don't like Ford. I have never seen that and here's why.
How many times have you seen a thread saying that the Ford V10 is a junk engine?
How many times have you seen a thread saying that the 7.3 was a bad engine?
How many times do you see people saying Ford has junk interiors?
How many times do you see people saying the Ford 5.0 is a junk engine?
The answer is NEVER. Why? Because anybody that knows anything about the above knows that they were VERY good.
The 6.7 is far behind the other two in terms of reliability much like the 6.5 GM engine was far behind the reliability of the Ford 7.3 engine. All one has to do is go to some of the popular forums of various makes and look for common problems.
Much like Lippert frames, the 6.7 deserves the notoriety it has. Much like Sunline travel trailers, the 7.3 deserves the notoriety it has. - RedRocket204Explorer

1Longbow,
Keep in mind that of all the negative nancy's posting in this thread, only two of them actually owned the 6.7L Powerstroke, the rest are just continually spewing stuff they read online.
It's a common agenda for these posters on this forum.
:h
I do hope one of those two is me. I owned one from 2011 until September of this year.
Yes and ricatic is the other. The rest like to run their mouths about stuff they have only read about and have no true experience like they are experts on the subject.
experts... LOL
Am I an expert? No! I just call out the BS as I see it.
Hey mouth piece... If you think I have no skin in the game, you are dead wrong... I own 2 Touareg TDI's with Bosch CP4.2 HPFP's in them. I also owned a 2012 passat tdi with a Bosch CP4. NHTSA and their file a complaint is on my speed dial on my smart phone. All I am going to need to see is a P0087 "Low Fuel rail pressure code" show up on my Torque App, and then the T25 bit comes out and the pressure sensor on my Bosch HPFP comes off to look inside for metal bits and shavings.
If those two items show up, NHTSA is going to hear from me about how unsafe this vehicle in stalling on me in rush hour traffic.
So glad you are capable of diagnosing your own failures, instead of getting a snow job from the service manager at any dealership you go to, or worse yet, getting hit for deductible out of pocket when the dealership weasels out on warranty work.
I hope I never have to get a new HPFP due to failure, but I run a pinch of biodiesel in every fillup, since I took delivery brand new, day 1, in every one of them.
Oh and here's the facts...
I've seen in excess of 10 of these pumps, apart, in and out of failed VW TDIs, held the failed pumps in my hand. This one out of a Touareg. I've dissected a few of them also.
Some of us walk the walk, the rest of you are in the dark. FACT. Until you do failure analysis, you're just another blue oval koolaid drinking fanboi. Just calling it as I see it. One day, it might be your turn for a tow job and a 2 to 3 week wait. Come back then, and tell us about it, when it's your turn.
I see...6.7L? Nope. Check. Another "expert" what?
And who is the fanboi? Have I defended Ford here? Nope...just pointing out where the BS is king. And it's deep in this thread...once again.
You still don't "get it"... it's not a Ford issue, or a GM issue, or a VW, or Audi or Porsche issue.... They ALL buy a complete black box Common Rail diesel fueling system from Bosch. It's a Bosch problem. They all sub contract out their fueling systems from Bosch. All that matters is that Ford goes to bat for you against Bosch for a warrantied fuel system replacement, or they weasel out of it.
Ford's track record with building diesels... 3 attempts now, since Navistar got smart and dumped Ford. 6.0, 6.4, now 6.7. Nothing has changed, when it comes to their engineers designing diesel engines.
Cummins track record? Duramax track record? You tell me.
Oh, I get it...I just choose to take information from experts versus forum "experts".NinerBikes wrote:

These threads make me feel pretty good about my decision to run HD Gassers. Gas is cheap and I can replace 2 gasser motors for the cost of one HPFP failure (if the motor doesn't get ghosted).
10-15k repair bills horrify me...
Not trolling, I'm serious...how will people be able to afford this stuff out of warrenty?
Thanks!
Jeremiah
How can you afford it under warranty!!!!
Great Point!!!!
