Well here's the thing. You already have new parts. So, they are not top quality, but they are yours and they are paid for. Why not go ahead and use them. With the age of your truck, there's a possibility something else will fail that will be the final straw for the truck. And that final straw may occur long before the inferior replacement parts wear out. So why spend money on an older vehicle at this point. Change the parts with what you've got.
Now ... if the new parts wear out before the rest of the truck does, THEN consider purchasing parts again. If this were a newer truck, I can see justifying purchasing all new top brand replacement parts, but not for a truck that's 19 years old.
