Fully loaded 1/2T Ram?

Spotted this half ton Ram carrying a sizable truck camper in Zion

Didn't manage to see it without the supports deployed, or meet the occupants. I wanted to ask if any mods were made on the rear end to bolster load support. I know the coil spring suspension on my Ram squats quite a bit with only 500-600 lbs on it.

  • It's a Ram, pretty sure they can carry and do whatever according to several posters around here ;)

Tires and the 5 lug wheels, I had a friend that hauled a much smaller camper in a F150 back in the 80's. He at least had big tires, and the camper was pretty lite.
    Salesman stated no problem!!!

  • Don't know from the pic but sure wouldn't want that on my 2008 which is only rated for 6100# gvwr. Ours looks identical except for color. 500# tongue weight drops ours 2 inches in the back.
