No "right" answer. Your gasser is the better daily driver, the big Dooley is a better towing machine. Both will do double duty just fine.
Big question is can you put up with a mediocre tow rig for your size and weight for the convienence of daily driving, or do you want the ultimate tow rig at the expense of daily maneuverability if you're in a city/urban area?
Btw, they make the ultimate trucks for guys in your shoes. Diesel 2500/3500 srw short bed trucks....
