There are purpose built automotive adhesives on the market but I haven't used them. Vehicle mfgs use them to attach body panels and interior moldings.
3M is where I go when needing a purpose built adhesive. Their products always stand out as a good choice. I have used their trim adhesive on vehicles for many years and they have always brought a good result.
