Gluing windows

I know I have asked a lot of questions sense I bought mt 1989 Southwind. Hope I do not wear out my welcome. Opening the back louvre window they fell out of there of their aluminum holders. Luckily there arms attached to the glass too. Now I need to glue them back in place. I believe plain silicone adhesive wouldn't be strong enough and epoxy might not take the expansion difference between glass and aluminum. Does anyone have an idea on what to use?

    Is C.R. LAURENCE 877 CRL Super Spacer Sealant stiff and Goop enough to be used in an upside down opening? The glass is held on the top by aluminum hinge.

    Buster, 3M 5200 does come in black. You just have to get it at a Marine supply or on line.

    yep, goop should join duct tape, and bailing wire as an essential element.

    x3 for Goop. Buy it at HD or Walmart. Its cheap, tuff and clear.

    yep, goop should join duct tape, and bailing wire as an essential element.

    Buster, Winnebago uses a glass glue when they glue there windshields in at the factory!

    Here's what I would use. C.R. LAURENCE 877 CRL Super Spacer Sealant, which is available from Amazon.com. It's about $13.00 per tube.

    I used it for sealing the double pane window when I rebuilt it due to fogging. Works great. I also used it to glue the top handle back on the window.

    One of my favorite glues is GOOP, it comes in assorted flavors. You want one of the outdoor flavors (better UV resistance)

    Polyurethane is one that shows promise here too.. In fact it is a close relative of what holds my windshield in place (professionally done)

    The best use for Silicon adhesives is filling hooks in hardware stores/departments,, This product has no actual use far as I can see.

    I don't think Glass Glue will work because it requirements from it site, quote (Gap filling applications (parts must be close mating with no gaps or voids)). It maybe close fit but it I cannot see how you can get all the voids and gaps filled. The opening in the aluminum is above the glass and it will run down on the glass and not fill the void. I am going to look into auto glass sealant first. Thanks
