Here's what I would use. C.R. LAURENCE 877 CRL Super Spacer Sealant, which is available from Amazon.com. It's about $13.00 per tube.
I used it for sealing the double pane window when I rebuilt it due to fogging. Works great. I also used it to glue the top handle back on the window.
