The GM 6.2L is not available in the 2500 or 3500 yet, even though GM keeps saying it is coming. Their gas in the ¾ & 1 ton models is the 6.0L and there are very good reports on the later models, but NOT so good on the early to mid 2000 models.
I have the 6.2L in what they called their heavy(NHT) ½T and am very pleased with it.
