GM, Ford Fudging Payload Ratings

So Left Lane is part of a group called Jumpstart media which says of itself is an automotive "marketing" company that is owned by Hearst Publications which touts this on it's website;

"Jumpstart Automotive Group is committed to the development of quality content and services for consumers and to maximizing publisher revenue and advertiser results"

Maximizing publisher revenue at it's finest no doubt learned from it's parent company and their long and wretched history of what they call "journalism".

From the link: "For their part, Toyota and Ram have stated that they use stock pickups fitted with all standard components in order to calculate payload ratings."

So I wonder what the true ratings are for the Ford and GM/Chevy trucks.

So, Ford was pulling spare tires and jacks and center consoles out, and GM realized what Ford was doing, so GM decided to start doing it themselves. Wonderful.

Must have been a Dan Akerson idea.
