Dadoffourgirls,
Yup, one of the many benefits of living in Michigan's Lower Peninsula is seeing 1 or 2 or even 3 year ahead vehicles running around the streets and highways. Usally they are camouflaged somewhat in various ways and a few have been seen wrapped in an opaque plastic film or a nylon type material. Our son and wife lived on Sears Lake (Milford, MI) for 3 years which is less than half a mile north of General Motors Road and right across Hickory Ridge Trail from the huge GM Milford Proving Grounds. Seen new GM vehicle models a few years before their model year build very often on the Milford area roads when we'd visit him. Not only GM's but some Ford and Chrysler vehicles/prototypes also. We even see them a few time a year here on the Lake Michigan side if the state. Obviously they were hand built prototypes as the production tooling hadn't been made yet or even released for building.
My Ford bred and born true Blue Oval stepson now works at GM...his job entails technical evaluation of driveability issues on the latest GM trucks...he has been driving a 2014 Silverado for almost 9 months...and 14000 miles
He told me last Thursday that he will be turning in his 2014 Silverado in the next week or so to take possession of his newest assignment...the all new 2015 GM HD Series truck. He has asked for a 3500 Dually/DuraMax...hopefully that will be what he gets:B:B:B...
Stay tuned...
Regards
