The Nissan Cummins is plenty of truck to do said job. As mentioned at 4,800 rear axle weight rating. Manufacturers payload suggestions are nearly worthless numbers in comparison to useing a scale & axle ratings.
But isn't Nissan less truck less power and no better fuel economy for the same-ish money than any of the more basic 3/4 tons. Also agree that Nissan has earned its rather dismal reputation. I would sooner buy from one of the other four truck manufacturers. I am a fan of both the 6.6 Duramax & the Allison. Not so much a fan of adding DEF under the hood or having a DEF tank that hangs down below the rest of the truck. Hope GM corrects that next go around.
