FYI, head over to the ford truck forum and check out what the door sticker payload capacity is for a 2017 F250 diesel, 1700-2000lbs. My XD has 1900lbs.
No doubt this much higher RAWR is due in-part to the Big 3's use of the same full-floating axles on their 3/4 and 1-ton trucks vs. the semi-floating axle used on the XD.
