Your front disk brakes are doing ALL the work. The rears needed to be adjusted manually even tho they should be self adjusting. Your rear pads are most likely glazed and shot!
I tend to agree with cummins.... Perhaps the proportioning valve is not functioning correctly.

How many miles do you get on the front pads?
Troy, everything is fine as far as braking goes with this truck.
My dad bought this truck with 60K on it. He was going to Alaska so I pull the front calipers and checked out the pads. They were about 2/3's to 3/4's gone so I replaced them. So I have about 110,000 on the front pads. I'm going to check them out when I get a chance. I would guess that they are pretty much gone. But then again I was so sure the rear shoes were gone that I bought new ones before I did the job.
BTW, the rear shoes are not glazed. They are perfect other than just being worn about 2/3's out. I also had to do the wiggle, wiggle, wiggle pull to get the drum off, so in MHO the adjustment is good.
