I bought a 2014 Chevy 6.2 max tow LTZ 3.73 gears.. Ordered it before miliage ratings were out.. Love this engine. 415 hp.. A real beast. I am comparing it to my traded in 2007 Avalanche with 3.73 gears and 5.3 engine. A world of difference.. I tow a 25ft TT and used the Avalanche for 3 years of towing. Used to really beat the hell out of it on grades.. This 6.2 Eco is amazing compqared to the Avalanche..
The real shock was the gas mileage. I get 20, 22 driving 55 60 with no TT.. Around town, I get 16 17 MPG.. Pulling I used to get at best wit the Avalanche 10, with a tail . 7, 8 was the norm. With the new 6.2, I get 10 at the worst, and with the wind in my favor 12.5... A couple times 13.. Now i always try to avoid all the expressways when I RV...... Like to see the local stuff you miss when you travel the E-ways.
This new 6.2 is a great motor. I had a Superchip FlashPac Tuner, Magnaflow Exhaust, KN cold air intake in the Avalanche. I don't need any of this for this motor...
