I guess I haven't paid close enough attention to the Ram they all look about the same to me. It's about time Ford changed their sheet metal as well only my guess is they will get uglier rather than better. At least Ford could come up with some better fenders for their dually. And it wouldn't take much to improve the grill either. GM has got a good looking truck.
The great thing about arguing about how trucks look is that it's totally subjective, and a person can make up their mind in a second whether they like the looks of a truck or not. There's no need to look up specs on payload or watch videos about which one gets up the Eisenhower first. You either like it or you don't.
Ram (or Dodge as it used to be) revolutionized the way pickups looked back in 1994. Ford sort of copied that look with their own twist in 1999. GM held out on that look for a long time and has joined that bandwagon. I think Ram has the best looking truck, but face it, trucks are becoming like cars, they are all starting to look the same and it's getting harder to tell them apart at a glance.
I agree, when I see a new Tundra I have to take a double take because they look so much like an F150 at first glance. 4x4ord wrote:

There is a new thread on this so I will not hijack this one. But you nailed it. - mich800Explorer

They just interviewed someone from Ram on the radio. He confirmed it will be a new luxury truck with bold features. So we can rule out performance or an offroad type vehicle at this point. - DadoffourgirlsExplorerProbably a refreshed Laramie, with new grill and tailgate trim!

What I would like to see from Ram is complely redesigned sheet metal on the HD pickups. They really haven't changed the look of thiertruck much in the past 20 years.
There's a huge difference between my two trucks and they are only 8 years apart. Ford is the one that needs to change things up a little. It looks like all they've done is changed the grills and headlights through the years.

Yes, The GM twins are defiantly good looking trucks. With the right trim package I think all the current trucks look good. Ram still has the "Milk truck look" that they have had since '93 but the body lines have changed quite a bit. I like the milk truck look. That why I like the 99- 07 Ford Superduty. Not much on the new front ends. That grill, IDK. Same with the new Ram off road truck they are coming out with. That grill is uuuugly. - Perrysburg_DodgExplorerThe Ram will get a major update, the 1500 in 2017 and the HD 2500/5500 in 2018. What is the "major update" heavy sheet metal, suspension, interior. The word is NO Hellcat Ram, bummer that would have been cool.

ROGER THAT.
The cab and doors date back the original Super Duty - was that 1999?
The front fenders have changed, so have the contours around the rear wheel openings on the SRW. ANd the Grill, I can't see how there's enough air flow to keep things cool up there - the grill has more blocked space than open space in it with those two huge bars in the middle.- 4x4ordExplorer III
