Say what? Yes the new (maybe) Ram 700 is built off the Fiat Strada line. So what is your point? The 1500-5500 are not. :R

Small pickups like the old Dakota, Colorado and to a lesser extent the Ranger make no sense if they don't yield great fuel milage!

The new Colorado makes 20 City 27 highway 21 combined for the 2.5 I4 4X2 and 17 24 21 V6 4X4. Nothing to write home about. I can't find any info for the baby duramax as for fuel mileage.

But unless a mid size truck tops out over the 30 MPG mark why would anyone bother buying it? I looked at the new Colorado at the auto show and will say it's a nice truck. Way overpriced for the market it is in IMO $30K+ up to $48K if you opt for the Dmax :E ! You can get a loaded up 1500 for that money and still get the same fuel mileage! Yes you can buy a stripper 4X2 in the low $20K range but how many buy stripper models?

Nope IMO mid size pickups make no sense whatsoever. The old small Ranger, S10/S15 and Dakota pickups yes, the newer mid sized ones...nope just plan dumb IMO
