Moose10, you are right on the money. It's the electric motor that seizes more often from moisture. See my post above on how to lube the very lowest bottom elect motor shaft bearing. That's the one that most often rusts since the bearing sits in a moisture trapping housing kind of like a small lobe or bowl. My jacks are 13 years old and still smooth as glass from doing the motor lube each year and covering them with freezer bags during storage. The white cup like motor cover does leak. That's the problem and will cause a fuse to blow or overload the circuit board when it rusts.
