Cummins was used by Ford for many years in the F650/750. Now they are using the 6.7 PSD. We'll see how well it works....
I think it will work well in NA. You would get puzzled faces here with that 320hp, 460lbs ft of torque Gas offering though. 6.7 Powerstroke, looks reasonable in your MDT configuration - LimogesManExplorer

Know who made the Ford 6.0? Google Ford Navistar lawsuit.
See Lessmore and DirtyOil's posts. Ford had as much or more responsibility for the 6.0 failure as anyone.
Nope it was Navistar's errors. Ford engineers are smarter than that and they proved it in court and won. Ford then built it's own 6.7L Powerstroke which has been solid. RobertRyan wrote:

I just seen something recently that said GM was getting back into the midsize truck market and they would be built by Isuzu.
It will be another re-branding, just like they sold before. Only difference will be the Chevy badge on the nose. - larry_barnhartExplorerI thought our 05 was 310 hp. Now I know why it is so slow, Not real slow of course.

I thought I read the same thing months ago, but I guess I forgot about it.- GeezeExplorerI just seen something recently that said GM was getting back into the midsize truck market and they would be built by Isuzu.
- ksssExplorerI am pretty sure that when I bought the 2005 5500 (new) that it was detuned to the same spec as the LB7. It was 10 years ago now but I am pretty sure that was the case.
- travelnutzExplorer IIksss,
If you have an LLY engine, these are the engine specs.
The GM LLY Diesel engine is 305 HP and 605 @ 1600 RPM torque - nearly a true flat torque curve spec all the way from 1600 RPM up to 3000 Rpm. 32 valve design and a 17.5/1 compression ratio. Began production as a 2004.5 mid-year first build for sale in GM 2500HD and 3500HD pickups and continued until the LBZ replaced it beginning with the 2006 model year.
Check your engine specifications for your LLY.
