However, if you look at the pictures, it seems that most of the weight is forward in the TC. Unless you really loaded down the rear cabinets, I think you’d likely be fine for the short term.
I don't need to read technical data to estimate that short bed has rear axle about 40" from front of the bed.
8'-9" camper will have COG at about 1/2 of floor length, give or take 6".
Do the math.
