I put a set of Monroe shocks with a overload coil spring built on to them on my 2003 silverado and the work great. They were only about $140 at advanced auto. They raised the back of my truck about an inch above the normal ride height and with the trailor on it sits about at the normal ride height before I added the Monroe's. Couldn't be happier with them
