Holiday Rambler Introduction

Yes it is paneling, though now we've got a dark wood look laminate flooring and same on the backsplash so my wife kinda wants to go with white paneling to brighten it up a bit.

I like that ceiling panel, what is it made of? Is it some kind of paneling? I haven't seen anything like that at my Home Depot

That is great to hear, I was looking into buying a 1984 F250 Ranger 4X4 from my best friend only to find out that his late BIL bought the truck when the tags were new and drove it until the Tags expired and never registered it in his name. They expired about 6 years ago.

Estimate is way over $1000.00 to transfer ownership to my name, then there is another $1200 or $1500 to bring the tags up to date.

The actual cost to transfer and pay a years tag is about $200.00, the rest are fines for not registering within 10 days or so and for not keeping the license up to date. If he had transferred the registration and then died without paying the yearly tag fee, it would only be the $200.00. The inheritor does not get stuck for late fees on the tags.

Thanks everyone, hopefully the title won't be to bad. I was able to get a title for a '76 ford without any documentation fairly easy, just gotta do the research and have the correct forms before you get to the county clerk cause they never know the in depth details on odd ball acquisations. I didn't think about making corners out of fiberglass, that shouldn't be to bad. I'm gonna try to beat out the side rails as best as possible. Whats a good replacement for ceiling panels?

I would say get the title straightened out before you spend much money on it, that might take a while.
I've got a '95 Holiday Rambler and that thing is built like a tank! The one thing that drives me crazy is everything on the exterior I want to replace is riveted on instead of screwed. So replacing a cracked fan vent dome will take hours instead of minutes to do.
Those lower skirt panels are thin aluminum sheets riveted to the trailer and frame, you will probably have to cut those out and make new ones. It should be fairly easy except on the corners. On my trailer the corners are plastic and I'm sure there are no replacements available. You might have to make something out of fiberglass

Wow when I was a kid HRs were the ultimate. There is still an HR group on the internet. They might help you with the bottom panels.

Hey - it's under a roof. Your doing better than most already.

My family had a HR when I was a kid. They put tons of miles on it, especially after they retired. It was a very well built camper(as far as campers go) and was relatively trouble free. One thing it has is the COVERED front window. That was one of the best things I remember about it especially on those picture perfect days.
I don't remember what it's called but a few years ago I found a couple of RV graveyards on the internet. You may be able to find some original parts there. Hope you have lots of fun with your project!
