- Community AlumniOn long trips, we get in as many as we can in 12 hours. It's normally around 600-700 miles. I enjoy driving and the wife enjoys riding/navigating so we don't find that many miles exhausting.
- TeamfourExplorerEight hours or about 400-450 miles.
- TomG2ExplorerOld habits are hard to break and it is difficult to stop at less than ten hours or about 500 miles per day. The hours before noon are the easiest and most productive. Quite often I will have over 300 miles behind me before I stop for lunch.
One of my Loners on Wheels friends once averaged 50 miles per day for two weeks. She likes to check things out along the way. - horton333ExplorerOn a long trip about ~1,000 kms (~600 miles) does it for me.
I've done more, but I don't like arriving at a new site much after dark: bothering the neighbours with the noise after dark and the like. - IdaDExplorerDepends. I work and our kids are in school so time isn't on our side when it comes to vacation. If necessary I'll pull a 900 mile day, but I prefer to keep it to 600 or less.
- JayGeeExplorerLeaving home I go 4-6 hours with some breaks. Going home I will stretch it and do sleep only stops wherever available, truck stops, rest areas, etc.
- _1nobbyExplorerI've only done 3 outings with my trailer.
2 at 2 hours and 1 at 14 hours.
I don't mind a long day as long as the destination is worth it.....but I would prefer shorter days and NO DARK NIGHT ARRIVALS. - pawpaw47ExplorerWe usually plan for between 300 to a max of 400 miles/day. We also always plan to get to our next destination before dark. I hate backing up at night!

- Community AlumniWe try to get 400 in with the trailer; I'll go 600 without the trailer.
