How much can I tow?

As noted by another, too many other issues to say one will be fine if under the tow rating. I've pulled over and under, I've had issues over and under and felt VERY unsafe. I've felt VERY SAFE over and under too!

Yes if the truck bed is already loaded to the full truck GVWR then the tow rating becomes zero.

There is zero dip in her rear end and it rides unbelievably comfortable.

Adding more rear springs helps the rear suspension ability to better carry more weight. Dodge gives the 2500 a 6000 lb RAWR which includes wheels tires and springs.
The only difference in the 2500 and the 3500 SRW is higher rated tires wheels and rear spring pack per the buiders spec sheets.


Looking a The '06 Dodge Body Builders guide shows a 2500 Mega cab has a 12500 lb tow rating for the SLT or Laramie package.
The DRW with the same engine/tranny/rear axle has a 15xxx tow rating.

All '06 short bed Dodge trucks have a 6' 4" bed length.

I have a tt and my sticker says not to exceed 9000lbs

Are you sure they are not overload springs? HD pickups have an extra spring pack that cars and light duty trucks do not have.

Either way, what is listed in the driver's door jam is what the truck is rated for. No credit for modifications.

I love it when the spec sheets list the GVWR, GCWR, and MAX TRAILER Weight all on the same sheet.

Most folks sees the large GCWR spec and think they can tow space shuttles...
