That Thetford Riser is NOT solid...it is webbed underneath
Cutting 2" off might/might not weaken it.
IF center ring was left intact it would still be able to spread the load
At $35 cheaper then new high profile toilet
Or build a custom riser box......and use a flange extension thru top of custom box
