Same with my agent. Took year, make, model, dollar amount, everything. Said I was good to go. A year later when I called they said it wasn't covered under homeowners at all and covered to $7500 on the auto policy. Initial two reps said it was covered under homeowners off the truck and insured to $37,500 on the truck. Needless to say, we switched. I've been very happy with progressive.
Should always read the policy language regarding stuff like this.
Insurance premiums are based upon many variables, but a major one is what it is going to cost to replace the covered item in a total loss. Years ago when I was in the auto insurance business, many auto policies had "additional items" coverage to a max of $5000. Add a zero for the cost of many of the new campers. Would hate to need to replace the camper only to learn you don't have coverage.
