Sadly, they are some of the best, but not real boat construction. In a factory built camper, its hard to move up from a BF or NL. The advantage of the pretty shell (not so thin really) is it keeps the rain out, more or less permanently compared to most other constructions which put their entire faith in temporary caulk.
I've often though you could make a pretty good camper starting with the bare shells of a BF or NL, but sanity has prevented me from trying.
