$1100 for a driveshaft seems VERY VERY steep... but never priced a F-150 shaft. I did just put a HD 1 piece aluminum shaft in my 3500 with MASSIVE1550 ujoints for $325 with a transfer case output seal.
Is going to a 1 piece on F-150's common like it is on the Dodges? It deletes the failure prone carrier bearing and reduces the ujoints needed.
Can you do the transfer case service yourself? Is it just a fluid change?
X2 But I believe the one piece shaft is just for us Ram boys. Think mine was more like $450 :D Aluminum prices vary though. I had launch shutter when hooked up, but it did fine with no load. But yeah if you can eliminate the carrier bearing by all means do it with the one piece shaft.
