I had the Ford 9" in my 67 F100 gernade on me. Went to the local pick and pull and got a Dana 70 out of a 78 F350 for $200 and it bolted right on perfectly. Then I went back and grabbed the front I-Beams on out from the same 78 F350 and upgraded my F100 to power steering, power disc brakes and 8 lug spindles to match the 8 lug rear for another $200.
I don't know if Fords are still so universal with their running gear but I can bolt up pretty much any running gear from 67 through mid 80's on my old 67 F100.
Swapping axles and front running gear was a piece of cake. Swapping the steering column to the power steering column was a bit of a hassle.
