I had a 2008 Expedition that I used to tow the trailer with when we first bought it. It did OK. I decided I wanted an upgrade, so I bought a F250. The wife wrecked the Expy, in comes a 5.3L 2010 Suburban (3.42 rear end). The daughter started playing select volleyball, the finances were strained, something had to give. Hey, that Suburban runs pretty good, it should tow like the Expy, right? Traded off the F250. I knew I made a mistake the first time I hooked that trailer to it. The engine was strained all the time. When I say I was running in 3rd to maintain 60mph, I'm not kidding, around 3500 rpms. The tranny temps always tried to climb, too. A few years pass, I get the F150. As the gentleman said before, night and day difference. I couldn't believe how easily the ecoboost handled that same trailer, often towing in 6th. Drop it to 5th and it would tackle almost any hill I pointed it at. In fact, it did so good...I bought a bigger trailer.
Now that makes sense! The "Burbs" are extremely heavy for a vehicle plus 5 years ago the 5.3 was a known dog. At that time the 8.1's ruled for towing....
I'm extremely happy you love your ecoboost enjoy it for what you want, now please refrain from posting any more.
