I suspect the way it drops down in the back that it will only slide up so far in the longer truck bed and then you would have a gap between the pass thru window and the rear window of the truck.... Shouldn't be a NO BIG DEAL there... You could fashion a sealed boot of some sort if you really wanted one...
Here is google photo of what someone did with his shorter truck camper. Looks like a stable install to me...
Depending on what is installed near the centerline of the rear wheels may be an issue of having extra weight behind the rear wheels???
If this works out for you I would really enjoy having that extra storage space between the camper and the truck - looks like a good 12-inches or more of usable space for something..
Here is another google photo of a short camper in a long bed truck. This guy has a tool box I think stored in the opened up area.
This one looks like a gas can stored in the open space...
