I have the original Lance Brochure for 1996 and 1998 abd in the squires,there's no 3100 ec listed. There's a 3000, 4000, 5000, 8000, and 9000. The ec refers to Extended Cab meaning N/S Queen Bed. Here's the spec for the 1998 Lance Squire 3000 direct from the brochure:

I got a 95 and 98 catalog with my 97 500, confirmed on back cover. 98 catalog says
squire 3100-8'6"(extended cabover)
new for `98! speciaally designed for heavy-duty
short-bed trucks. popular features, include

This year center of gravity is measured from rear forward I belive
Looks like a nice lay out
The 4000 model for that year is built for the LB
Lay out is simalar but it has a pantry btwn ref and dinette
slightly larger wardrobe closet and less angle on the sink
