Onan and propane - one multiply low efficiency of other.
I do have propane generator and two 30lb tanks, but when going for long weekend I took my Honda 3000ei with me. Having front hitch and load platform it was easy.
Honda takes less than 2.5 gallons of gasoline and used in my motorhome would run 15000 btu AC for continuous 12+ hr.
I know buying second generator is not that easy, but you, or your family might have one just like I did.
On long weekend in Sierra we got spot in the shade and I did not have to run AC btw.
