Lance Camper wire harness (truck side)

The Lance wiring harness uses an 8 gauge wire for the 12 volt charge side and an 8 gauge wire for the ground. Where do you suggest I make the Ground Connection ?
I have a 16' F350 Diesel with the factory 5th Wheel Prep and 7 way Plug in the bed.

  • Lance's 6 wire harness uses an 8 gauge dedicated power source for the 12v charge wire that runs threw a dedicated 40 amp relay for the 12v battery power connection. Additionally theres an 8 gauge wire that is a dedicated 12v ground. The remaining (4) 16 gauge red, yellow, brown and green wires are used for there
respective Brake, Lt/Rt turn and running lamps.

sorry , but my lance had the 7 pin , but only used the clearance lights(tail) and pos and neg . As the truck brake and signal lights were visible at the rear. SIMPLY unhook the 6 pin and make it a 7 pin.
It should be easy to convert it to a regular 7 pin to connect to any truck . . you do not need to fill all the contacts. .

true but most 7 pins can't handle the 8ga hot wire that the lance connector can. faster charge for the batteries and you can run the fridge on DC if you wanted to.

I may be missing something here but if you have the in box 7 pin already wired ,why do you need to ground anything else as the 7 pin should already be grounded. My battery in the camper went dead one night when I mistakenly left the fridge on 12v and it charged back up after driving a few hours with the factory plug and its smaller wiring.

Lance is a 6 pin not compatible with your standard 7 pin wire set up

Go directly to the frame via the shortest route. Make connections bright 'n' tight, use a star washer between the connector and the frame then coat w/your favorite rust preventative.

Straight forward and simple. I like that, thank you !!
