Lance slide out repair to control module

I have a 2013 Lance camper with a two slides and both of them are needing to be reset each time I go to use it by disconnecting all power and then reconnecting power so I imagine there's something wrong with the control module but I'm not sure any ideas
  • A problem like that might be a loose wire feeding the unit. When you put the load onto the control module, the loose wire acts like a load and trips the unit out. Before you tear out expensive parts, bring a good positive and a good negative on heavy jumpers to the unit, and see if that makes a difference.

    Found the issue.....remote switch

I'm not clear on what you mean by remote switch. I also find that I have to cut all power to the camper to reset the control module on my Lance. I don't have to do it every time but often enough to wonder what is causing the issue.

Edit: to clarify, I have to push the "wake" button in order to get the remote to work. Sometimes that doesn't work and I have to either cut power to the unit or use a wired connection from the remote to the controller.
  • The black switch to the left as you walk in the door at the step is the remote control switch for me that switch I had to take the one piece off that you can take off and bend the already curved wires down a little bit so they made a tighter connection to the green circuit board so that fixed my problem of having to disconnect the power every time I wanted to put the slides in or out that our course resets the control module you do have to hit the Wake button on the black switch every time you want to use the remote if you let it sit for more than 10 minutes you have to hit it again
  • OK so you couldn't even use the remote with the cable attached without resetting the control module?
  • I don't have a remote with a cable.
I do not use the remote without first hitting "wake"

Interesting. My remote has a cable jack on the side that allows me to open the slides and move the jacks when the wireless isn't working. My remote looks like this.
