Lance Squire 3000: Water System Pump Not Activating?

Picked up this 1996 Lance and still checking out the systems. Water tank has been empty but I just filled
it yesterday and when I call or water hot or cold, nothing.. just dead! The water heater fires up and looks & sounds great.
Turned it off quickly though as it is empty!

I checked all the valves in the bathroom under sink crawl space and they are all open.
While the heater was operating there was a kind of slight gasp that came out of the faucet but still no pump?

This is not a clunker, this camper is clean and nice..
here's a shot of the pump area..

I checked the ARV on the WH and no water in the tank yet..
Small air burp is all I got
no water pumping..

Here are some shots showing the WH.. You can see that even the exterior of the WH Bay Door
is bright white and new as well as the mech inside.. Pretty sure everything is good.. Just something
I am doing wrong.. (or maybe a fuse)

I am bummed.. any help appreciated..

  • Thanks for your post.. I guess I did have a senior moment because I suddenly remembered how the system worked.. I had a wonderful house on a very tall hill and the city water could not pump to the house pad elevation.. I had to do lots of work on the system and the pump had a pressure switch on a bladder tank.. similar..
  • I was reading your original post and halfway through, "Did you turn the pump on?"

Remember to turn it off, though! It won't stop pumping when it runs out of water because it's pressure-sensitive. High water pressure turns it off, low turns it on. No water, no pressure, pump stupidly keeps trying to pump air to make pressure.
