looking at a '97 9'10" 5000 squire, includes electric jacks and 2500w generator and double door fridge/freezer. assuming all checks out on inspection what would be reasonable price to offer ?

At that age it depends on condition and more importantly what it is worth to you. 2k-6k would be the mark with as Dave said, 4k being about average. If it's exactly what you want and in fantastic condition, I could see going as high as the 6k.
Be careful of the rear door area as they were prone to leaks there. Also, check for 1/4 round molding along the floor which is a sign the flooring has been replaced which is usually from extreme use or water damage repair.
