Well, my opinion (as a guy who has a Lance 880 and an F-350 with an 8' bed) is that you will be just fine. You will need something to raise the camper up somewhere between 2 or 3" or you will have a dented cab roof. That much is fact.
Any other modifications will be at your discretion and budget- and based on how you feel the truck handles with the camper on it.
We upgraded some suspension items based solely on how the truck handled with the camper weight, plus the 3' truss extension and our 7,000# horse-trailer in tow.
Those are our experiences- others might feel differently. ;)
