Lance Wet Weight?
Would some that has one please give me their wet weight, ready to go camping of the 2014 Lance 865 with optional generator? Lance lists it at 2700 pounds. Is that about right? Do you have a 250/250...

The published weight of the 865 is 1870 lbs. and that is supposed to include the weight of full LPG tank and the battery and a full fresh water tank. In general if you take the published weight and add 300 lbs. you will be close to the probable weight for the camper. Add in 400-600 lbs. for gear and food and you approach the 2700 lbs. number for the wet weight.
A 2500 class truck can easily handle this load. If the camper when on the truck results in the rear sagging a bit you can add SuperSprings for $450. Tires are the other possible weak link and if you take your truck to a CAT scale and weigh it and it comes in at 3200 lbs. at the rear wheels then add that to the 2700 lbs. for a 5900 lb. total and compare that to the load rating for your two rear tires. If it is 3195@80 PSI then you have a roughly 500 lb. extra load capacity. Ford trucks have more frame flex and if this is a problem then you can spend another $400 on a Big Wig anti-sway bar which will help.
