One of the features of the TT we are picking up tomorrow is a built in laundry chute/hamper. It has a hinged lid, located next to the master bed. You can place a laundry basket underneath, and then retrieve it from the storage area external access panel.The benefit would be that you wouldn't be storing bulky dirty laundry inside the trailer. It's a pretty interesting feature, and certainly low cost.Does anyone else have an option like this, and if so, do you use it as intended? If not, where do you store dirty laundry?

we store our dirty laundry in one or two mesh stand up hampers we keep in the shower stall. I use bounce sheets as air fresheners. works for us.

Have that in my Crossroads and use it all the time. Great feature!

My Grandkids would love that two-way hidy hole!

We found ours to be a waste of space in the storage compartment underneath. We keep a hamper under the bed for our dirty laundry, or put a basket in the bathtub. It's easy enough to move when the shower is used.

My trailer actually has two of them in the same spot. We only use one side for the dirty hamper and love it. The other side we store chairs underneath it. It's a great feature to have.

We are loving our laundry chute on our current 16 day trip out to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. We have a large laundry basket in the pass thru storage to catch the dirty laundry. I have an over flow collapsable basket hamper in the back of the truck. Very handy!

We have 2 in ours, went to Wal Mart and bought a couple cheap laundry baskets, they fit perfect. My trailer has a large pass through so on 1 side I have the laundry basket and a rubbermaid bin and the other side has the laundry basket and cleaning products.

The water pump is not near the chute, but I will have to deal with the cold air when we get to the fall.

I have one on my side of the bed. My thought was to stash a cooler under there for late night drinks, but the DW had a better idea and it has turned out to be better. She found a trash can that fits tight to the bottom of the cabinet. I find myself snacking more while in the TT (and beer canning) that it works out great to be able to pop the lid and toss the trash down.

We had it in the 2011 Keystone Bullet 250RKS that we just traded in on the new MH. We loved the laundry chute - it kept the dirty laundry out of the way and was easy to remove when we got home. Note, though - cold air comes up an out of the chute when you're camping in really cold weather.

Also, the water pump was right next to the chute. It was horribly loud, so I removed the panel and insulated the box with foam core insulation.

The chute worked great on our maiden voyage - we placed a crate underneath and just brought it in when we got home - real simple and didn't have any dirty clothes in sight!

Had one in my last trailer & it was used more for my grand daughter to play in. I thought of keeping a cooler under there so I could sneak a cold one in the middle of the night.

We have a "hamper area" in the same place as OP. We don't use it - tried a few times, ending up being a PITA!

We use a mesh stand up laundry hamper - we leave it in the garage of the TH - we also throw a few fabric sheets in with the dirty laundry.
