From Northern Vermont here. Leaves are at their very early stages of change. Weather this week calls for nice weather through the weekend. We have already had a few frosts. As for the traveling question, roads should be fine to travel on to see the colors. If you travel on some of the main scenic byways as listed on most maps there won't be any issues. The Northeast Kingdom of Vermont gets the color earlier than the rest of the state and IMO is the best area to go. May even see a moose or two! BTW, Mt. Washington is in New Hampshire!!
