....we just hit "peak" here just north of the Vermont border with Quebec. The onset was very, very fast: just a week ago leaves were mostly green (the maples), with the ash trees (all ash species) completely leafless (our ash around here lose leaves in September, and are bare by appx Oct 1st). We expect most of our leaves to be gone (down) in 1.5 days -- by Monday (when heavy rains are expected).
