leaving camper on site, turn off water or take off hose?

We've been seasonals both north and south for many years. After one event in South Carolina where we went out for dinner and came back to a waterfall from our 5th wheel we had back then, I ALWAYS turn off the water. I use a two hose adapter and I shut off the turn-toggle on the adapter as well as the main spigot. In the past I have had someone use my garden hose and leave the main spigot valve open.

As seasonals the only thing we leave on is the electric and I do keep all hoses connected when we leave.
